Library Show:
Thank
you to Flo Dickie and Joyce Brown for providing food and drink for the reception at the Library on October 3. .
Logo:
Kristal Norton submitted some logo sketches for review. The board made some
suggestions to one that was preferred. We’ll see what develops soon.
Christmas Dinner:
Ellen Shuman, Celestine Bernard and Norma Maine are working on a location for the Christmas dinner to be held on Wednesday,
December 9th.
November Members Art Show:
Art
League members can submit up to 2 pieces to the juried November members show. The fee per piece is $5.00. Artwork for the
show should be dropped off at the Town Hall Lobby on November 17th between 10 am and noon. Please have all of your
information about your art ready. We will need: title, artist, medium, size and price for each piece. All works must be suitably
framed and wired for hanging.
Beth
Ellis will judge the show. There will be prizes awarded for Best of Show, First, Second and Third place as well as some honorable
mentions and probably a “peoples choice” as well.
The
opening reception will be held on Saturday, November 21st from 2 pm – 4 pm. We will need members to help
setting up, providing food and drink for the reception and staying to help clean up afterward. Pick up will be December 19th
between 10 and 11 am.

Norton will be working along with Pat Tanger on developing a new, updated website and blog. The URL has been purchased, but
the site is still in the works. In the meantime our free website: newingtonartleague.tripod.com is still active.
Workshop:
Steve
Linde, vice-president of the Connecticut Pastel Society has agreed to do a Pastel Workshop for us.
The
workshop will be Saturday, December 5th from 9 am – 3 pm in our new space in the Town Hall. The cost per
member is $45.00. Send your checks to:
